Local SEO software vs a local SEO agency
Local SEO AI is software, not an agency. Here is what each option does, so you can choose honestly.
The short answer
If most of your local work is keeping your Google Business Profile accurate, replying to reviews and posting regular updates, software lets you do it yourself. If you need a new website, link building, citation clean-up or someone to do everything for you, a local SEO agency or freelancer is the better fit. Neither can guarantee a ranking position.

Software is usually enough when
- You have one or a few locations and someone who can spend a little time each week
- Your website is already in reasonable shape
- You want to approve every reply and post yourself
- You prefer a fixed, known cost
Consider hiring an agency when
- Nobody on your team has time to review drafts or approve updates
- You need website, technical SEO or link work alongside your profile
- You have a suspended or disputed profile that needs hands-on help
Questions to ask any provider
- Who owns the Google Business Profile, and will I keep owner access?
- Do you ask every customer for reviews the same way, without filtering unhappy ones?
- What exactly is reported each month, and where does the data come from?
- Do you promise rankings? (A trustworthy provider will not.)
